10DLC (10-digit long code) is how US carriers approve business SMS sent from ordinary phone numbers. Registration is not optional.
Unregistered traffic is filtered by the carriers, not by Telnyx. Your messages will look sent in BeRocker and never arrive on the phone. This is the single most common cause of “our texts stopped working”.

The order of operations

1

Verify your Telnyx account

KYC and the upgrade off trial come first.Telnyx account verification
2

Register your Brand

In the Telnyx Portal, Messaging → 10DLC → Brands. You need your legal business name, EIN / Tax ID, business address, website and a contact.
The details must match your public filings exactly. A mismatch between your EIN and your legal name is the usual reason a brand is rejected.
3

Register a Campaign

A campaign describes what you actually send. For a broker that is normally Customer Care or Mixed. You will be asked for sample messages and to confirm your opt-in and opt-out handling.
4

Attach your numbers

Assign the campaign to the Messaging Profile your numbers belong to — the same profile whose ID you pasted into BeRocker.
5

Wait for approval

Brand vetting is usually quick; campaign approval can take a few business days.

Sample messages that get approved

Use real templates from your account, with variables filled in. For example:
Two things reviewers look for:
  • The business name in the message.
  • A working opt-out instruction.
Set the Opt-out line in Settings → Templates → Health before you submit your samples, and quote the footer text in the campaign application.

Opt-in

You must be able to describe how customers consented to be texted. For a broker that is usually the quote form on your website — make sure the form says messages may be sent to the number given, and keep a screenshot of it for the application.

After approval

1

Confirm the campaign is attached

To the right Messaging Profile in the Telnyx Portal.
2

Send a test

To your own phone from a conversation in BeRocker.
3

Watch the delivery numbers

Settings → Templates → Health shows attempts, delivered, failed and the failure rate per sending number.Messaging health

Staying compliant

  • Keep the Opt-out line set, and honour STOP immediately — BeRocker records opt-outs automatically.
  • Keep quiet hours on so nobody gets a 3am text.
  • Keep your pacing sane. A burst from one number looks like spam to a carrier.
  • Watch the opt-out rate on the Health tab. A rising rate is your earliest warning.
If your messaging changes materially — a new use case, a different kind of message — update your campaign. Sending traffic that does not match your registered campaign gets numbers blocked.
